U.S. Supreme Court Justice Thomas addresses Utah lawyers

| Aug 2, 2010 | Legal News |

By Tyson C Horrocks, Associate—

The Utah State Bar recently held its annual convention in Sun Valley, Idaho.  The Utah bar members were given the privilege of hearing from keynote speaker Justice Clarence Thomas of the United States Supreme Court.  This experience was memorable for many reasons, but especially because Justice Thomas so rarely speaks from the bench.

Justice Thomas spoke before a packed house and described the great duty and pressure bestowed upon the justices.  Justice Thomas also spoke on the civility between the justices and the lack of “politics” in the court.   It was an honor for the Utah bar members to hear from such a prestigious and honorable man.
