Election trouble in Washington County
The Salt Lake Tribune, through KCSG.com, reports that nearly 100 votes in last month's primary election won't be counted. The outcome of at least one race, for Washington County School Board, may be affected. The reported cause was the office of the County Clerk failing to mail out as many as 2000 absentee and mail-in ballots until only six days before the June 22 election.
Utah Court News: Holliday Exempted from Fluoridation Regulations
The Utah Supreme Court recently reversed a decision of the Utah 3rd District Court requiring the City of Holliday to fluoridate its water pursuant to a regulation adopted by Salt Lake County.
